Comprehensive Facilities
Dairy House Farm is a DIY yard offering stables, year-round grazing, access to all our facilities, CCTV in yard areas, and the provision of top-quality hay and various bedding options delivered weekly. Our stables come in a range of sizes, each with a tack area, and are either barn-based or individual. We provide all-year grazing with electric fencing, though there is reduced turnout time during the winter months. On-site parking for horseboxes and trailers is available for your convenience.
Hay is provided ad lib and charged based on the size of your horse, with costs averaged across the year to a fixed monthly fee. Bedding is delivered weekly on Wednesdays, and you can contact our yard manager for more details.
Our excellent facilities include a hot water shower, an all-weather dressage arena with mirrors and floodlights, a well-equipped and floodlit jumping arena with Jump for Joy jumps, another outdoor arena for lunging and schooling, and we also have an indoor arena exclusively for clients. Freelance grooms offer full or part livery services, this is available seven days a week. A range of vets, equine dentists, physiotherapists, saddlers and farriers regularly visit the farm. Costs are often reduced by owners sharing visits. Nutritionists and a weigh bridge also visit the farm to help give owners a condition report on their horse.
Riding and Hacking Opportunities
Our two and half mile farm ride is very popular over the summer months. The farm has its own show field, home to The Bucklow Trafford Riding Club shows, and is set up with working hunter jumps during the summer. The Trans Pennine Trail passes next to the farm, offering additional off-road hacking opportunities on Carrington Moss with access to the River Mersey and beyond using the traffic light-controlled horse crossing at Carrington. The yard has Whatsapp and Facebook groups for hacking so you can easily find someone to join you.
Dairy House hosts regular clinics such as pole work, jump and formation work with various trainers throughout the year, these are available to all to participate, along with our Dressage and Show Jumping competitions.
